NEW DELHI: The Union Home Ministry has sought applications from the spouse and youngsters of victims of terrorist assaults for pursuing MBBS and BDS courses in medical and dental faculties underneath the central pool.
In a communication, the house ministry has conveyed to all states about allocation of MBBS and BDS seats from the central pool to the spouse and youngsters of terror victims and made it clear that no separate examination can be carried out and choice can be made solely on the premise of marks obtained by the scholars in NEET and possessing essential training qualification.
Children or spouse of an individual who has been killed in an act of terrorism is eligible for utility underneath the scheme, a house ministry official stated.
“It is requested that the State government(s), Union Territory administration(s) may kindly give wide publicity while inviting application(s) from eligible candidates as indicated above for the academic year 2020-21 for allocation of MBBS and BDS seats from central pool for spouse and children of terrorist victims,” the ministry communication stated.
The states and UTs had been requested to make sure that full utility of eligible candidates within the prescribed format in duplicate enclosing all essential paperwork in respect of their states and UTs together with due verification or authentication and counter signatures of the competent authority must be despatched to the house ministry inside 15 days after the declaration of the outcomes of NEET-UG 2020.
